have you seen eduardo recife’s work? to me it’s a bit of a story, as all objects in my house are apparently, but this is fun, right? this is what life is made of.
well, so 3 and a half yrs ago when i moved back to brasil (with an s, yes) one of the 1st things i did was buy this inspirational full-of-stimuli magazine for the visual person, zupi.
zupi is awesome and still going and i’m still liking it. when i 1st flipped through the pages i fell in love with a specific artist. wow, i really liked him. i tend to go for a lot of layers, transparency, something handmade about it, and not clean and minimal at all. so i really love eduardo recife’s work. tore those pages up and thumbtacked them on my wall. well, 3 yrs later, the museum where i work at had a design exhibition. (with a beautiful catalogue by the way) i was so flabberghasted (appropriate word here) because i feel i saw a trend coming: eduardo recife was on the show! very wow. the same pictures i have on my wall are on the museum walls. sweet.
not only but this year, we are launching a new Collector’s Club and it’s a design one. and guess who’s a part of it?? chosen by the curator herself, adélia borges, eduardo recife is part of our 1st Collector’s Club selection of 5 artists. wow. i couldn’t be more wowed.
