the sunglasses story: what a fantastic story! so i buy myself nice snazzy (spelling?) sunglasses, sunglasses being something i never even owned per se and i'm all happy and bouncy about them. now, you can imagine discipline or organization being evident characteristics of a 1 year regular blogger like myself, yes? for the 1st time ever, i lost something. noooooo! i can't believe it, i lost my brand new sunglasses. being the person/woman that i am, i read into it too much, overinterpret and after all probably-wrong conclusions, i start my search. i call all restaurants i've been to that week, search all bags and after one week maybe... give up? very sad and disappointed. part II of the story: another week goes by and as i am leaving work, i am notified that someone left a note for me. strange... a cab driver called and left his phone number. stranger... hm, what is this about? i imagine sticky, iffy situations. "maybe i offered a free pass to the museum" is the least politically incorrect i can think of. should i call?
well, naive and faith in humankind, i call. and oh my gosh, he found my sunglasses and that is what that was about! not only - oh i am so happy - but here's his plot: he found the sunglasses and thought "some passenger will call to reclaim them." nothing happened. his wife saw them and being curious, opened the case to look at them. nice sunglasses, yes, and there's the receipt that i, being absent minded, forgot inside the case completely by chance. so there's my name and date of purchase on it (just a few days earlier). the cab driver somehow remembers my name and where he had picked me up from and wow, ta dah, left a message for me. as soon as i called, he promptly brought them over.

maybe i have opened a new door (concerning other matters in my life) and maybe that does affect my universe and how we (the universe & i) relate. am i happily letting in good vibes? this makes a point for me that it's worth *believing*.
