sorry i haven't posted in so long. it was first, the last minute things before you go on vacation. then, it was vacation. then, i had a guest for a week and it was my last week in brasil before leaving for a month long trip. and... i leave for my month long trip now. not complaining, don't get me wrong. but that's why blogging has not been my top priority. i must say that i'm happy that i've been blogging for almost a year and i'm still disciplined about it and still doing so. (also happy about discipline when it comes to exercising. 1 month - only skipped one single day. woo hoo! so not my type, but you gotta do what you gotta do...)
a lot of thoughts in my head, as always, but mostly excited to go but with some butterflies in stomach for doing so. for the 1st time, i'll be traveling to a place where i do not speak the language. i'm happy with my path. after being so dependent on so many people for a few years, given health issues, last year i went on to chile. it was the 1st trip alone since after the fact. not bad at all. and now, a year later, off again on a "better alone than in bad company" (brazilian saying) 1 month long trip. also included: one week with a star guest appearance by the most loyal best friend ever, nora. what else could i ask for? my 30th birthday in istanbul with my best friend. ah... life is good.
