it's incredible what a few changing of habits does for a person and their pet. i decided to test out some changes and see if, in fact, they really matter. the easiest to note, the most evident positive outcome, is cutting television. this past week i've only allowed myself, so to speak, to watch tv if i rented something. on every other account, i found something else to do. (i've been renting a lot. last one was le placard with daniel auteuil) in one sitting, i read 270 pgs of uglies by scott westerfeld and i've been sleeping a lot better. i feel like the same amount of hours, yet i feel more rested. and hey, even waldo meows, aka whines, less often! i pay attention to him, we play hide-n-seek, he chases a shoelace. should i clarify that waldo's my cat or is that implied with the shoelace chasing? either way, some changes are good. a lot less tv. less coffee. no more nail biting. changing the medium which i work with, hence the image on the post today (i usually go for dry medium: pencil, charcoal... this time, i'm trying out watercolor for figure drawing and i'm liking it).
one day, i wonder if i'll get to less chocolate. that's a tough one though, for me at least...
