i'm still on my "no tv" change of habits and it still affects me in a very positive way. i did rent a hitchcock though, haven't seen yet. i'm updating myself on the classics. should i confess that i have never seen the godfather trilogy? but i'll get there...
well, a lot of waiting this week. and thankfully, a lot of good ways of dealing with it as well. waiting for things at work, waiting for someone to (maybe) call me, waiting for decisions to be made... i sat on the grass today on the way from lunch. i'm very lucky to work at a park. i think people can easily take that for granted. it was a great way to unwind from anxiety and to try to focus on positive things. because i cannot change a lot of what i'm waiting for, i was trying to come up with the answer to what makes me happy? i think it's something good to know, something to go to when the manure hits the fan. (pardon zee french!) so i was thinking... what makes me happy? definitely the sun and its warmth and the light, hence the sitting on the grass. but what can i do that'll put a smile on my face?
go home and see my cat spread on his back, belly up.
bake cookies.
draw.
write.
spring cleaning.
get some coffee. or make it myself and go as far as foaming the milk.
flip mindlessly through a magazine.
look up places in google maps and click on view from the street to reminisce.
boy, i'm cheap! well, i guess it's good to know and good to think about these things for when u might need them.
i haven't been getting a lot of comments on the latest posts but if u do know of what makes u smile, please, post a comment. it could be inspiring and i could use some new ideas.
on the comments from the previous post: i should learn how to be a stone more often and i'd probably be better off sometimes. of course, that would also not be my usual self although i am learning and there is always room for improvement. too much of a stone can be a bad thing but there is some usefulness (is that a word?) in it. "stony eyes and stony heart" is a strong phrase though.
