today we have a non empathy post because of some re-realizations i've been up to. ("re-realizations" - love it!) firstly, i do believe u can only criticize if you've been there yourself. so, confession, despite being almost a straightedge today and generally to some extent deep down always a true goody two shoes, as everybody else, i have also been self destructive at times. believing u love someone that's obviously not good for u, smoking, not trying your hardest when it came to things that only depend on u and only u will benefit from (still working on that one there...), and the very light one but just as incomprehensible example of biting nails (biting little endings of some sort of body part. hm... there's food for thought, no pun intended!). i do feel that i'm light on the self destructive habit scale...
i apologize for no empathy but i woke up not understanding today: why are people bad to themselves? how come we don't live to our fullest every day? am i expecting too much? how come some people are stuck on not doing their best every day? i feel silly using a cliche that i never truly believed in but yes, doing your best is the best u can do. however u cope with situation, whatever the situation is, why not look for the best answer that u can find that is good for u and people (and/or pets) around u? it's the awkward logic along the lines of "the more u do, the more u want to do." once u enter the positive proactive circle of life that values simplicity, today and happiness, it is possible to just maintain it. when we slip out, is it such an effort to get back on? and if yes, the burning question... (drum roll) why are we, humans, self destructive and negative at times and why does it take less effort to be so?
