now let's see if one image does say a thousand words... i feel like taking a breather from all the writing. i know i've said this before but the more u do, the more u want to do. i've been mad about drawing again and i like it so much. it's definitely something that makes me feel good and no one should ever loose touch with.
these first 2 drawings were done at the beach over the weekend in the midst of passing the sketchbook around because everyone wanted to scribble on it. a fun group activity, might i add. i love how u can feel the weight of the woman just by looking at the drawings.

this next one is a more academic observation drawing from a class i'm taking. i love taking a drawing class over and over again. i feel it's exercise and u get a live nude model, which beats drawing your cat an endless amount of times. either way, just back to the drawing board inspires me to consider whether or not i'm an artist and whether or not i want to be one. did u ever ask yourself that question? i went through the whole BFA (bachelor fine arts) repeating "i'm not an artist" and "i just want a regular job." the more i meet artists that do well, have representation at galleries, the more i feel i could be one of them too. like it's more of a career option than anything else. just like choosing to be an accountant, or a doctor, or a dentist. definitely more subjective and to some extent, riskier maybe... but why not take the jump? what is so scary? what could i be afraid of? (and yes, i really am asking this question to people who want to comment and post. i do appreciate feedback always)
