:: details ::

funny how we say that distance keeps us apart but at the same time that it in fact does, it also gives us new ways of keeping in touch. so i've been sending seemingly unimportant pictures to my mom who moved far away. also making videos about how heavy the rain is here in brazil and sending them through what's app to friends. (for those of you with iphones, i hugely recommend the app)
i'm also a strong fan of the post office. i'm glad my friends are too. hee hee...
the presence of the people in our daily lives is what's important and i guess i'll do whatever it takes to convey that feeling to the ones i love even if they live in a different continent.
when someone asks "how was your day" it is up to you how you answer. in reality it is "same ole, same ole" but at the same time, it's not. it's a choice. i'm glad i stop to look at butterflies when they decide to show up, make pointless videos and photographs to send to my friends, gather art pamphlets at galleries and put them in the mail, love taking care of my plants, pause to take the pencil and paper out when i see a moment i must draw... i like that part of my soul. i feel that it's the artist in me.
photo above, clockwise: party preps, fresh out of the oven cheesecake, plants outside
(why the so cheesy post? i'll go back to my usual self, promise. hee hee...)
