:: bienal, my version ::

so it's the 8th time i go visit the bienal already. somehow i do not get tired of it. i've been doing a lot of guided visits of it, that's mostly why. well, according to the curator, luiz pérez-oramas, we're supposed to construct our own constellations/connections among artists and travel through the exhibition according to our theme. all of it dialogues with the "imminence of poetics" title of it. it begs the question and makes you think and participate actively as to how things relate to each other, what do i get out of it, how does this work for me. it's extremely productive and engaging.
other than 12 themes for constellations that oramas suggests/gives, he encourages visitors to make up their own, as long as they're intellectually and responsibly justified. so this time, i wrote my own text and selected my own artists to go with my theme.

english:
invention of language while language is their world.
these worlds that have formed themselves in an extensive, sometimes slow, process, so much that we feel the worlds as concrete (true, factual).
their stories, their narratives, their construction of the past.
perception.
a form of expression that can only be in this format, only theirs, that they believe they have invented.
a natural originality and to some extent, naiive, not forced. but when these places are read, exposed, said out loud, is that we notice how much they connect.
how much they echo each other, repeat.
a unison voice but with their individualities.
their accents, tweaks, breaths and pauses in their talk. but unison as far as invention and rich simplicity of thought.
