#booksinthecity

as there is no bookcrossing or bookcrossing culture here, i decided to make up my own. leaving books i have read behind on plain avenida paulista (biggest avenue here, the stage for many cultural and urban art interventions) gives me excitement. it's a fun way to connect to people, as if the books were my hands or my fingers. or reflections of what my eyes have seen and read. so to some extent, it's a way to connect with people. the excitement is not knowing who they are but in a romantic old school "underneath the same big sky" feeling just plain human as i do it. as i leave a piece of me behind for someone else to notice. to touch.
