MINE :: erasing & accepting ::

i can't deny it, i am an artist. ignoring it is really not a solution. i'm currently dedicating two days a week to art. so many ideas are flowing in. i'm loving it.
among others, that i'll post every now and then, this is the most recent:
the stamp is the xray of my MRIs. cross section of my head. what I'm working on is that i ink it once only and stamp it on different pages (all same size, same placement) till it fades completely. i guess conceptually i'm trying to erase the cancer. it will probably end up in an artist book format (almost like a flip book as it fades).
for those of you reading who do not know me, yes i am cancer-free for a while now, healthy, but still dealing with it in my artwork and some other areas. basically, and funny, i found out, through this stamp and process, that no, the stamp does not ever fade completely. there's always a bit of a residue. so funny enough, no. the cancer or scar or trauma does not completely disappear. that wouldn't even make sense maybe. but it does fade and get close to nothingness.
