for those of you who don't know about it yet, the basis of this project is that we are all humans and as far as feelings go, i believe we all experience similar things. i only mean that in a comforting sense. so i write a hope on a napkin (every napkin is an identical handmade edition of 50) and each hope has to follow three rules:
- has to be about the future or present (nothing of the past)
- has to be romance/love related
- has to be positive
i do this as a spur of the moment one liner as i normally think of them. at the same time, my point is that i let go of these hopes all over the world, leaving the napkins behind. hopefully, whoever picks a napkin up will have one more reason to smile about that day. very simple.
the goal is to get to 100 hopes (100 napkins x 50 editions each = 5000 hopes!) and so far, so good.
