everyone around me lately is so full of indecisions. we could start "the indecision tribe," i swear. can we blame the moon for this as well? it's all indecisions from work to love to what clothes to wear to should i stay or should i go and bam... car accident for me this week. (not that big of a deal but a truck did try to run me and my car over and yea, i guess i was lingerning indecisively for a while there on the same spot - sorry!)
anyways... it's funny. right off the bat, i'd say trust your instincts. that is pretty much my answer for any question. "does he like me?" "trust your instincts." "want more cereal?" "trust your instincts." just kidding. but i feel that the gut feeling (and i feel i've posted here before about this as well which proves i'm so consistent) is almost like a guaranteed correct answer. sometimes we're not good at listening what the instincts have to tell us, sometimes we boycot it and pretend that this is what we heard... but in general, it's a no miss thing. and as always, i'm a big preacher of self-knowledge/awareness for us to be able to easily understand what the instinct is trying to say.
and even when we don't listen to it rationally and act accordingly, it acts on our bodies. kinda beautiful that way. we were supposed to travel to poland yesterday but it is a rather charged trip (jewish, aushwitz, dad's hometown, etc) and someone got sick and sick enough that we couldn't make it to the flight and might actually not go on the trip at all. please, don't think that i "blame" or that i have negative feelings about this. i just feel i could help and make it easier for the person. or that it wasn't so difficult. or if it is, hey, maybe we shouldn't go. maybe he's not ready for it yet and that's ok too. but again, your instinct will keep u on track or shove u off your tracks if it has too. wow.
and then i guess, there are those moments when u really don't know and cannot make a decision. your rational says one thing, emotional says another... which one should u base your decisions on anyways? (i feel i always lean toward the emotional one - is it me? or is it women in general? or my family? hm...) i think i've been through something like this maybe twice in my lifetime. those are rare, in my opinion. and what to do when those times hit? stay quiet, don't solve anything. it's better to wait a bit and deal with it later then to solve something, make a mistake and then have to go back on it. (that there was for u, nasch) wait until u know the answer or have a better clue, at least. if u think about it, as i'm learning from someone else, (yes, i'm thinking of someone specifically) we have all the time in the world.
