had a great talk with my mom today. it involved a lot of non conventional thinking on both our parts. not unusual at all for us. we discussed various philosophies and attitudes in life and the result is very serene and mind boggling at the same time. we sort of came to the conclusion that life is not only about the here and now. i feel like a bigger perspective is a great thing. some things i keep in the back burner like pick your battles which to me, makes obvious that not every fight is worth fighting. we shouldn't really care about every little detail because life is bigger than small details sometimes. i also like the feeling of all times: past, present and future existing at the same moment. my mom, she even takes it further to say that we are all more than one person. we are all circling within the same people (believing that we live more than one life on this planet) and we are all, at some point, each other's brothers, mothers, daughters, grandmas etc... that makes some sense to me too. and does or doesn't, i can accept that easily. i think accepting has a lot to do with this serene life-is-bigger style. i think it's more than important to accept and understand that life is not always what we want to see or believe therefore it's important to have faith and trust that it is bigger than our planet and definitely longer than our lifetimes.
...and with this, have a good week! i'm off to a cousin's wedding and will not be posting until the end of the month!!
