finally getting back on track. sorry for the lack of posts or lack of input. i'm learning to accept phases, even when they're difficult. but luckily, after 2 weeks (+-), things are already starting to feel somewhat normal. either that or i'm learning new ways of coping. i think i would even rather the 2nd.
either way, things are starting to resolve themselves. i'd say the best advice i can give now is go through all the steps when something difficult comes along. it's ok to be sad. you'll get to accept things. it's also somewhat ok to go through it rationally, but it'll get to you sooner or later. bottling feelings up is a real bad idea.
i'm glad i found my safety net recently and i'm allowing sadness in, even if for years-ago trauma. my take on it at the time was to survive and keep on trucking. now, i can let sadness in, because it's logical to be sad for your parents who separated, or for a malignant cancer in your head, or a long extensive relationship that turned into a really bad break up. but you know what? sounds crazy but i'm comfortable in this sadness. because i know it's temporary. because i know it's a feeling. and if i let one feeling in, be it sadness, i'll let others in, be them love and affection.
not bad at all...
