breathtaking is not an overstatement here. these pictures are what i've been waking up to and it does set your life at a different pace. this is overwhelmingly but comfortably beautiful. for those of you who are wondering where it is because "i wanna go" click here for il palagio in chianti. and then of course, to be here for my best friend's wedding... ahh life just couldn't get any better. i was struggling earlier to forget work while i'm here. for some reason or another work kept popping into my head. not actual things and no stresses really, but i just couldn't forget where i'm from and what i do. last night, coming back from a very calm and non-hen hen night (if that is even understandable), we stopped to look at the stars and i swear, for a moment, when i came back and started walking again, i had to ask myself, "where am i from and where do i live" again. a calm swooping moment. incredible.
so today it is another day closer to the wedding and all the things are getting checked off the list. i must say it is extremely nice to feel so included in the family here and i bet saturday will be fantastic. i'll have to post at some point, about the bride's sister and just how homey her house felt. i have yet to feel that much family and cozy warmth again. what an amazing environment. maybe i can inspire myself to create that one day for a family of my own?
