work in progress:
sort of an unintended collaboration but i'm really liking this. one person took photographs of these sculptures that stood on the corners of a building in poland, like gargoyles only... nicer? the pictures were passed onto me as a look-what-i-saw-on-my-trip email. i looooved the characters. so i grayscaled the images, added a little halftone and we'll see if i can turn these into stamps! (and by stamps i mean the old school stamps with a wooden handle that you use an inkpad with. photoshop is a means to an end, please.)
i'm also wondering, after they become stamps, then what? i'm thinking they completely match handwritten letters. well, stamps do always. but they look, to me, sort of like seals, to seal an envelope. or letterheads... hm... anyway, i'll keep going with the project and cross that bridge when i get there.
but hooray for always taking my projects seriously enough that i follow through from "ooh, i should do this" to "oh wow, i finished it and it looks awesome!"
